SECOND ANNUAL ART JAM MARKET SCHEDULED FOR OCT 29/30 WEEKEND A Day of Art, Music & Fun Organizers announced that the 2nd annual Art Jam Market will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday Oct. 30 at the gardens and showroom for c’ment 2 b, a concrete art / fountain studio located near Schulenburg, Texas. Approximately 15 artisans will be selling works of fine art, pottery, textiles, leatherwork and jewelry at the event, which will be open from 10-5 daily. Other attractions include a farmer’s market, performances by local musicians, food trucks and adult beverages. This year’s Art Jam will coincide with Czhilispiel in Flatonia, adding to the festivities in the region. The rain or shine event will take place at 5121 US Highway 90 West, Schulenburg, TX 78956. Repeat performance Last year’s event was attended by nearly 300 people, who enjoyed talking with the artists and listening to music while walking through the landscaped grounds and water gardens. This year’s event is expected to be bigger and better, according to one organizer, owner of c’ment 2 b’s Stephanie Shroyer. Art Jam grew out of conversations among a local group called “Like Minded Artists,” art enthusiasts who began meeting to offer support and knowledge of the business of art. In 2015, the group held its first art event on the south side of Fayette County to showcase experienced artists as well as encourage newcomers to the field.
